Danny House Hurstpierpoint

FORTHCOMING OUTING TO DANNY HOUSE – 18 June 2024

A self-drive trip to Danny House in Hurstpierpoint has been arranged for our group by two of our members. Danny House was built in 1593 by George Goring and is set in 8 acres of garden within an historic parkland of 400 acres.

Danny House holds the earliest identifiable cricket ground and regular meetings of the Imperial War Cabinet were held in the Great Hall during 1918.

The trip is planned for Tuesday 18 June from 2.30 pm until 4.30 pm. There will be a talk and guided tour of the house, followed by tea in the garden. The cost will be £10 per person with a maximum of 30 people on a first come first served basis.

Please contact our Treasurer, Jill Collins, if you are interested in this visit or reply to the email sent to all members. When 30 names (with a couple of reserves) are received, further details will be sent out including payment details.
